I do remember eating some of the local watercress in Hawaii and I did a lot of tenant apartment inspections as an apartment manager and didn't wear gloves but I don't remember touching anything. I did usually take my shoes off though as is the custom there but sometimes there was no way because not everyone had clean floors or hygiene.
